Bush-Appointed Federal Judge Tells Trump To Go F**k Himself With His Muslim Ban

According to UU Donald Trump’s unconstitutional and illegal Muslim ban has thrown the nation and world into chaos over the last week. There have been numerous legal rulings against the ban, and protesters have taken to the streets to speak out against Trump’s outlandish bigotry. Well, now, it seems that the pressure – or at least the Constitution – is working, as a Federal Judge in Seattle, Washington has put a nationwide halt on Trump’s travel ban, effectively immediately.

George W. Bush appointed Judge James Robart on Friday night made the sweeping ruling against Trump, and Trump had better follow it, too.

Bob Ferguson, Washington’s Attorney General, fought against the Muslim ban, and actually sued the Trump administration over it. Ferguson said of Friday night’s ruling:

“The Constitution prevailed today. No one is above the law — not even the President.”

“It’s our president’s duty to honor this ruling and I’ll make sure he does.”

This ruling comes courtesy of the states of Washington and Minnesota and is more sweeping than any other ruling against Trump’s illegal action against Muslims. Ferguson’s lawsuit from Washing makes the (correct) argument that the ban is not a travel ban but is indeed a Muslim ban that tramples the Constitutional rights of Muslims and other immigrants who get swept up in the cross hairs of all of this.

According to CNN reporter Steve Brusk, there is coordination between different government agencies to implement these changes into law:

Attorney General Ferguson, however, realizes that Trump and his cronies will likely appeal the decision of Judge Robart, and he is prepared for the fight, saying:

“I’m prepared for this case to go all the way to the Supreme Court whichever way the Ninth Circuit Court of appeals goes. It’s a case of that magnitude, it’s a case that frankly I think will ultimately end up before the U.S. Supreme Court, so that would not surprise me one way or the other.”

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) had this to say of the ban:

“This ruling is a victory for the Constitution and for all of us who believe this un-American executive order will not make us safer. President Trump should heed this ruling and he ought to back off and repeal the executive order once and for all.”

Another CNN reporter, Josh Ostower, tweeted that all of the mechanisms designed to flag people from the countries involved in Trump’s ban will be disabled under Judge Robart’s order:

Now, we all know that Trump will be furious over this. He is likely roaming the West Wing of the White House as we speak, pacing like a caged animal. However, no one has the right to overrule a federal judge and defy court orders – not even the president.

There’s no doubt that Trump will try, though, and hopefully the Constitution holds, and our republic survives another day under the tyranny of Donald Trump.
