Secret Service Pushes Back At Trump’s Lies About Crowd Size For Inauguration

“By this time next week, the crowd size will be up to 3 billion and Mike Pence will be claiming he fed them all with a loaf of bread and three sardines.” Quote from this story….Thought it summed up the trump and his lies the best. There is something wrong from a man who feels he has to lie, 80% of the time to America. Weather they supported him or not. Lying to people who did not support you is way wrong. Lying to the people that supported you is just plain stupid.

Donald Trump is obsessed with the size of things, be it his tiny baby hands, the height of a skyscraper, his total net worth, or the number of people who showed up for his inauguration on Friday.

According to LA on Saturday, Trump sent out his press secretary, the always combative and perpetually dense Sean Spicer, to whine that the media had severely underestimated the size of the crowd at the inauguration, and to offer a defense for photos which showed vast empty spaces on the National Mall:

“This was the first time in our nation’s history that floor coverings have been used to protect the grass on the [National] Mall. That had the effect of highlighting any areas where people were not standing, while in years past the grass eliminated this visual. This was also the first time that fencing and magnetometers went as far back on the Mall, preventing hundreds of thousands of people from being able to access the Mall as quickly as they had in inaugurations past.”

Magnetometers, by the way, are a fancy, technical term for metal detectors. But was anything Spicer said the least bit true? CNN’s Jim Acosta decided to ask the United States Secret Service:

Oh, and about those ground covers which were used for the first time. Also a giant honking lie, as is easily proven:

Then social media got involved and ripped Spicer and Trump new ones for their blatant attempt to prove what is not and never will be true:

Stay tuned. There’s millions more lies just waiting to be told by Trump and his minions. By this time next week, the crowd size will be up to 3 billion and Mike Pence will be claiming he fed them all with a loaf of bread and three sardines.
