This was one of the best political / human comedic monologues We have ever seen. Really excellent; both positive and strikingly honest. We needed this and, I’m glad to say, We the People delivered on the marches he referred to.
According to OD comedian Aziz Ansari took the stage during tonight’s episode of Saturday Night Live to deliver a biting but powerful monologue as the first South Asian to ever host the show. He took solid aim at President Donald Trump, savaging racists, the KKK, and the Islamophobia that permeates every level of the Trump camp.
“Pretty cool to know he’s sitting at home watching a brown guy make fun of him. Yesterday Trump was inaugurated, today an entire gender protested against him.” declared Aziz. “What the hell happened? I’m sitting here wistfully watching George W. Bush speeches? 13 years ago I was convinced the guy was a dildo.”
He finished his moving monologue with these inspiring words: “Change comes from large groups of angry people, and if day one [of Trump’s presidency] is any indication you are part of the largest group of angry people I’ve ever seen.”
