JUST IN: WikiLeaks Julian Assange Makes BIG Russia/Trump Announcement (DETAILS)

According to BR The father of Wikileaks, Julian Assange admitted on the Sean Hannity radio show Thursday that some of the recent leaks could have been from Russia. He also said that some of the hacked Democratic documents were then passed to reporters at various news outlets. Then he went on to tell the audience more.

The U.S. intelligence community is in agreement that Russia did hack the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and the Democratic National Campaign Committee. But there are differing opinions on whether the Russians’ motivation was to elect Donald Trump or just to delegitimize the U.S. government.

A hacker or hackers named “Guccifer 2.0” posted individual documents on their own site, then sent documents to news outlets. On Hannity’s Thursday’s show, Assange denied knowing Guccifer 2.0. He also claimed WikiLeaks did not get its information from Russia or any other government, and that he had more than one source.

Assange said:

Our source is not the Russian government.’

Assange did say that the Guccifer 2.0’s leaks to the media could be a Russian plot:

‘Now, who is behind these, we don’t know. These look very much like they’re from the Russians. But in some ways, they look very amateur, and almost look too much like the Russians.’

WikiLeaks has had a long-standing policy of not commenting on sources, but Assange broke that tradition when he said his hacked documents did not originate with the Russian government.

Assange told Hannity that WikiLeaks obtained three pages of data on Trump and the Republican National Convention.

According to the New York Times, U.S. intelligence also thinks Russia hacked the Republican National Committee. But Russia did not leak them, because Putin wanted to maintain Trump as the stronger candidate.

When Hannity questioned Assange about a Daily Mail report that claimed Craig Murray flew to the U.S. to retrieve the printed documents, the founder of WikiLeaks refused to comment.

Murray spoke with the Daily Mail about a clandestine meeting with an intermediary in a wooded site close to the American University in D.C.

The intermediary was handing the documents to someone with “legal access” to the DNC and John Podesta emails. Podesta was Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman.

Then Assange said:

‘Craig Murray is not authorized to talk on behalf of WikiLeaks.’

Hannity congratulated Assange, saying he has “done us a favor” by showing us how weak the U.S. cybersecurity is and by exposing corruption in the U.S. government.
