Glad to see some justice being carried out. Trump has weaseled his way out of too many legal matters. He needs to face the consequences like the rest of us do. Good finally not wiggling out of a lawsuit , the Con man might actually have to go to court… Take away all his privileges and money and lock him up. Away from honest people.
According to BR President-elect Trump may have bought his way out of the lawsuit brought against him by victims of his Trump University scam, even though he vowed not to, but there are many other lawsuits still pending against him, as well.
Trump University has a 98% approval rating. I could have settled but won’t out of principle!

I settled the Trump University lawsuit for a small fraction of the potential award because as President I have to focus on our country.

U.S. District Judge Kenneth Mara is refusing to allow Trump to wrangle his way out of a lawsuit brought against him by members of the Trump National Golf Club in Jupiter, Florida. Although Trump’s attorneys have filed motions to have the lawsuit dropped and to stop the case from becoming a class action lawsuit, Judge Mara has denied both requests and intends to make Trump see this lawsuit through.
Trump bought the golf club in 2012 from the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club & Spa for $5 million. When the Ritz-Carlton owned the club, deposits made by members were fully refundable. Since Trump took over, about $6 million in deposits were requested by members to be refunded. Trump has so far refused to do so.
He sent members of the Ritz-Carlton a letter telling them they could opt in to the golf club by agreeing that deposits ranging from $35,000 to $210,000 would be non-refundable, which is now the key piece of evidence in the lawsuit. Trump insisted in the letter that he didn’t want members who didn’t want to participate in the golf club and allegedly forced some of them out.
‘You’re probably not going to be a very good club member … you’re out. As the owner of the club, I do not want them to utilize the club nor do I want their dues.’
As for the $6 million in deposits made by members who either chose to opt out or were forced out by the new president-elect, Trump has not refunded a dime.
If Trump runs the country the way he’s run his businesses, the American public is in for a long and grueling four years.
